I am staring at your beautiful brown eyes
Imagining that will also touch my lashes
Without a doubt, in my deepest of dreams
Securing the peace that's within
In this uncertain time
where sadness overflowing like fast pacing runner on a field,
I will run with you
I will breathe the air that is in with you
I will surrender all that's left of me to cure your heart
Just promise me...
To be the man who is willing to stare back at me
Even if it means you'll never get to the finish line.

What am I thinking just about right now? As a prologue to this self-proclaimed novel, let me first describe this wondrous night of 28th where November is just about to lose its glorious turn in this year of the sheep. Well, the noises were really evident with entertaining voices that were overlapping in a series of changing channels; the night has been splashing icey rains since the weather station announced to has been monitoring a possible typhoon; the smell of freshly brewed coffee that was left intact under my nostrils as I was drinking it earlier before I got home; the frenzied emotion I have feeling as I finally kiss my bed goodnight after that long and tiring battle for eternal city traffic. KABATAAN, SA SAYAW NG PANAHON

This was my feature news written last November 28, 2014. It was officially aired in a radio station (A.M.).  Grateful.  By the way I am an Intern on that radio station and our boss told me to write something about the youth. Second week of December is Youth Week. Masikip. Mainit. Maingay. Tatlong bagay na ibinubulong ng mga miyembro ng League of the Filipino Students (LFS), Anakbayan at Kabataan Party-List habang sila'y hingal na tumatakbo sa kahabaan ng pamosong kalye Mendiola. League of the Filipino Students  Anakbayan Kabataan Party List Ngunit... Karapatan. Kalayaan. Kapayapaan. Ang tanging adhikain na isinisigaw nitong mulat na kabataan. Nang pasimulaanan ang linggo ng kabataan, ay unti-unti silang naipakilala bilang epektibong sektor ng lipunan. Bagama't hilaw pa ang kaisipan, nagmistulang isang malaking alon ang ideolohiyang kanilang ipinaglalaban. Piping saksi dito ang mga karatulang tangan bilang armas ng pagbabago....

Saving Santa

I wasn't able to post this during holiday seasons. Anyways, here it is.      Is Santa will finally come to town?      "You better watch out. You better not cry. You better not pout. I'm telling you why..." Most probably you had sung it with joyous laughter and nostalgic smiles thinking that Christmas has already giving massive excitement to everyone most especially when you have thought of spending it with the ones you truly loved. But not everyone has given this kind of opportunity. More often than not, Filipinos (including you) value practicality up to the point when you are ready to exchange series of most celebrated holidays to years of servitude away from your families. But moments later you have trouble remembering when the last live hugs and kisses you had with them were, considering that your mind has only been seeing portraits and virtual images of them for the longest period of time.
