SAFE AND SOUND


Four years have passed since I've written something on this blog and I am right here, quarantined in the most secure space of our home with my family just to ensure the safety of everyone amidst this nefarious pandemic that has befallen onto the world. 

It is somewhat funny in a craziest sense that a virus would stop the world from revolving and it is even funnier that Sierra Madre's slope has finally said hi to us here in Metro Manila. The invisible became visible and the ruthless enemy is lingering around us without us noticing.

This is a welcome back note. Four years I have been too busy with work and life that I've taken for granted the one thing that I love the most --- writing. Ever since then, I did other things that created bliss into my being and stress into my mind. Such a balance between happiness and responsibility. Right now, as I have an immense measure of time to go back to my first love, Safe and Sound would be the perfect prologue.

I hope everyone is in better state right now. I know we are currently facing the world's most dangerous enemy but hey 2020 isn't finish yet. First quarter is such a challenge but we are still here breathing and fighting. We are Victors of the world.

What am I thinking just about right now? KABATAAN, SA SAYAW NG PANAHON

This was my feature news written last November 28, 2014. It was officially aired in a radio station (A.M.).  Grateful.  By the way I am an Intern on that radio station and our boss told me to write something about the youth. Second week of December is Youth Week. Masikip. Mainit. Maingay. Tatlong bagay na ibinubulong ng mga miyembro ng League of the Filipino Students (LFS), Anakbayan at Kabataan Party-List habang sila'y hingal na tumatakbo sa kahabaan ng pamosong kalye Mendiola. League of the Filipino Students  Anakbayan Kabataan Party List Ngunit... Karapatan. Kalayaan. Kapayapaan. Ang tanging adhikain na isinisigaw nitong mulat na kabataan. Nang pasimulaanan ang linggo ng kabataan, ay unti-unti silang naipakilala bilang epektibong sektor ng lipunan. Bagama't hilaw pa ang kaisipan, nagmistulang isang malaking alon ang ideolohiyang kanilang ipinaglalaban. Piping saksi dito ang mga karatulang tangan bilang armas ng pagbabago....

LIFE TODAY /vol. 1/

I have been wondering lately why some people have already reached what they desired for in lives that easy, while others, with long full of prayers, faith and perseverance are getting piled up in between of success and failures. Unfair isn't it? That's what most of the people would think also. And for the longest of time, I have always found myself clinging to that absurdity. Why not? Think about the times you have to auditioned in a drama play carrying your wit and positive aura but after all you've gone through you were rejected because someone with a beautiful face and appeal suddenly appeared out of nowhere. With his "pa-cute" smile and audience impact, he got in instead of you. Or think about the times you have to walked for a long distance just to go to school while your classmate (who happened to be your neighbor) was always ahead of you because he has a car of his own.
