Juan Dela Cruz and his system

No one thought that the idea coming from a very powerful mind can lead the country into a great submission.

DOMINATION BY POWER

The perfect dominance that can occur in a third-world country like the Philippines is the supremacy of a self-proclaimed wiseacre. There were instances in our historic path that can define as states of abomination led by notable people by which turned out to be the appropriate reasons for the people to revolt. On one hand, when people power failed, there was no other way but to go with the current system...

System that stands tall with the reigning power.

Likewise, when power created by the worldly leader commits its highest stake, there is no turning back. We are already drowning by his own selfish idea. We will go back to where it all started... from the mind who created the system.

There is a wide domination of power when there is only one who wants to protect the terrain, when there is only one who wants to be the ruler of his proclaimed kingdom. With this, people need people so that systematically, we could not condemn ourselves if one person isolates us with his indefatigable mind.

HISTORICAL REVOLTS

1989 Philippine Coup Attempt

Led by Colonel Gregorio Honasan, General Edgardo Abenina and retired General Jose Ma. Zumel, together with the soldiers loyal to late President Ferdinand Marcos, Philippine Coup Attempt desperate to call the attention of the Filipinos to unmask the administration of then President Corazon Aquino and reveal the bureaucratic inefficiency, graft and corruption and lenient treatment of communist insurgents.

REBELLION FROM THE BARRACKS

First Quarter Storm

Known as Sigwa ng Unang Kwarto, this composed of heavy demonstrations and protests by the leftists. This was the reason for the declaration of Martial Law under the rule of Ferdinand Marcos. The demonstrations were led by the students of University of the Philippines and turned out to be the radical protests when Jose Maria Sison, Bernabe Buscayno, and the laborers also took part shouting for graft and corruptions inside Marcos' nose.

2001 EDSA Revolution

This was a four-day political protest that peacefully overthrew the government of Joseph Estrada and was succeeded by then his Vice President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. Some critics said that this was a conspiracy among political and business elites but the Supreme Court ruling said that "The welfare of the people is the supreme law" that made EDSA Revolution a success.

2006 State of Emergency

On the morning of February 24, 2006, by the virtue of Proclamation No. 1017, the Philippines was hereby declared under the State of Emergency led by President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo. This occurred after the government claimed that an alleged coup d'etat was rising.

(1) Anti- Arroyo

Benito Lim, Professor of Political Science at the University of the Phlippines, stated, "This is suppression of all freedom. It is in violation of the constitution and bill of rights. This is the beginning of using stronger measures to quell dissent against the government. Their justification is reminiscent of Marcos when he proclaimed martial law."

Former  President Fidel Ramos said that he was disappointed of the declaration. This was just a way of stopping the uprising of small military faction just like what happened in previous administrations. He then described his relationship to Gloria Arroyo as "Waning, waning".

On the other hand, Joseph Estrada condemned baseless arrests and dictatorship rule under Arroyo's administration saying that this will not benefited the people in the country.

THE ANTI-GLORIA RALLY

Manila Peninsula Siege

The Manila Peninsula Siege occurred on November 29, 2007 at the Peninsula Manila hotel in Makati after Brigadier General Danilo Lim, Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and 25 other Magdalo soldiers had walked out of their trial and marched through the streets of Makati. They were shouting for the ousting of Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.

AFTERMATH OF THE DESTRUCTION

(1) Poverty

As long as the power is in the inappropriate mind, system will automatically go down the drain. The current approach to the overwhelming greed as being portrays by our leaders will definitely shoot us to the most undesirable mud. Surely, poverty attacks us, eat us with the fangs of tangible sufferings. At the end of the day, Filipinos will surely feel the lost.

(2) Conflicting Ideas and Beliefs

People tend to have varying ideas and beliefs in different situations they are all facing everyday. But the problem is, what if the ideas are being fed to them by charlatans? They intend to believe them even without proof. Leaders versus leaders; Military men versus government officials; Sector versus another sector. What will be the stand of the people?

(3) The system of opposing and supporting

For centuries, we are aware of wars being told us by history. We are in a state of securing our own little kingdom by which all that matters is what we're thinking. We always prove that we are the king of kings. Why? Because stupid leader tells us to run the system he implemented. Until now, the position between heaven and hell, light and darkness, rich and poor are standing like the highest spires. Equality is far within our reach.

Life Today /vol. 2/

What am I thinking just about right now? As a prologue to this self-proclaimed novel, let me first describe this wondrous night of 28th where November is just about to lose its glorious turn in this year of the sheep. Well, the noises were really evident with entertaining voices that were overlapping in a series of changing channels; the night has been splashing icey rains since the weather station announced to has been monitoring a possible typhoon; the smell of freshly brewed coffee that was left intact under my nostrils as I was drinking it earlier before I got home; the frenzied emotion I have feeling as I finally kiss my bed goodnight after that long and tiring battle for eternal city traffic. So imagine how it was entirely engaging (or probably not) to put my thoughts into a thousand repeated letters which I can call my blog. And yeah that was one hell of an introduction! As I am clinging with the literal scenarios of my daily life, I have come to unde...

Saving Santa

I wasn't able to post this during holiday seasons. Anyways, here it is.      Is Santa will finally come to town?      "You better watch out. You better not cry. You better not pout. I'm telling you why..." Most probably you had sung it with joyous laughter and nostalgic smiles thinking that Christmas has already giving massive excitement to everyone most especially when you have thought of spending it with the ones you truly loved. But not everyone has given this kind of opportunity. More often than not, Filipinos (including you) value practicality up to the point when you are ready to exchange series of most celebrated holidays to years of servitude away from your families. But moments later you have trouble remembering when the last live hugs and kisses you had with them were, considering that your mind has only been seeing portraits and virtual images of them for the longest period of time. Others call this a long-distance relation...

HOUSE BILL 5225 (VIOLATION KEPT HIDDEN)

Sometimes violation cannot be seen. We are restricted to label them as one because we are busy pushing ourselves to the waves of narrow-minded people. I fully remembered the day when I was walking alone inside a not so famous mall, scrubbing my shoulders to the full-length windows of different stores and making wishes that all of these clothes and shoes could be mine forever (fingers crossed!) while sipping my favorite nai cha (milk tea). After an hour of walking and wishing and sipping, I just suddenly felt a need for bathroom. I searched for one and when I am about to enter the comfort room (it is not for comfort, seriously), a guard or whatever you called it suddenly waved at me and said,  "Ma'am bayad po muna."  I felt the raged of blood inside my system and asked her,  "Ha? Bakit po may bayad? Diba po public toilet ito?"  And then she replied with uneasiness, "May bayad po five pesos, kung ayaw niyo po doon na lang kayo mag c-r...
